Indiana Restaurant & Lodging Association Rebrands to Hospitality Indiana

New name reflects a broader, more inclusive vision for Indiana’s hospitality industry

INDIANAPOLIS (April 7, 2026) — Today, the Indiana Restaurant & Lodging Association officially rebrands to ‘Hospitality Indiana’ – a change that reflects the full breadth and evolution of the state’s dynamic hospitality community.

The rebrand signals a more inclusive and accurate representation of the diverse businesses that make up Indiana’s hospitality community, including food trucks, fast-casual establishments, catering companies, bed and breakfasts, event venues, luxury hotels and everything in between.

“Indiana’s hospitality industry has grown far beyond traditional definitions,” said Patrick Tamm, President and CEO of Hospitality Indiana. “From local restauranteurs and food entrepreneurs to hotels, event venues, tourism destinations and service providers across the state, our industry drives experiences, jobs and economic growth every day. ‘Hospitality Indiana’ better reflects the full scope of who we serve and the future we are building together.”

This transition builds on the association’s long history of evolution. Originally founded as the Indiana Restaurant Association in 1933, the organization merged with the Indiana Hotel Association in 2013 to form the Indiana Restaurant & Lodging Association—bringing together two complementary sectors under one unified voice. Today’s transition to Hospitality Indiana reflects the continued growth and evolution of the industry it represents.

“This is more than a name change—it is a clear signal of where our industry is headed and our commitment to ensuring every corner of Indiana’s hospitality community is represented, supported and connected,” Tamm added.

Hospitality Indiana represents nearly 300 member organizations operating thousands of locations across the state, within an industry that employs nearly 14% of Hoosiers and plays a vital role in Indiana’s economy. You can learn more about our organization at hospitalityindiana.org.
